Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing regarding your job posting for engineering intern on your company website. WSP is the company of my dreams, your sense of professionalism and accountability inspire me. I am a spirited, hardworking third year college student, pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering currently at CUNY City College of New York. I am a strong candidate for the engineering intern position because I’m highly skilled at collaborating, communicating effectively, and finding solutions to complicated problems.

During my academic career, I managed to accrue nearly 4 months of work experience. I had the privilege of working for Al Madinah School as an office assistant, translator, and tutor in my free time, where I learned valuable professional skills such as records management, peer counseling, and communication skills. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as efficient by my professors and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven teamwork, research, and analytical skills, which I hope to leverage into the engineering intern role at your company. While working on projects, I learned to collaborate with others and work as a strong, functioning team. I developed vivid interpersonal skills while translating for parents at my school and helping them understand what was happening. I became interested in the design of transportation facilities and systems as I was taking my Engineering Graphics design class, where we used CADKey and AutoCad programs to design different objects.

After reviewing my resume, I hope you will agree that I am the type of competent and competitive candidate you are looking for. I look forward to elaborating on how my specific skills and abilities will benefit your organization. Please contact me at (315) 664-9927 or via email at [email protected] to arrange for a convenient meeting time.

Sincerely,

Mukhlisakhon Fazliddin
